Encounters will take place at all levels at the SEE YOU Festival. But only a few hundred participants will have the chance to win a place in our special encounter programme. And it is definitely worthwhile. Because the workshops we are organising for this programme mean that whatever area of culture you are involved in, a range of wonderful artists will be on hand to guide you. You will still have enough time to take part in and benefit from the overall festival programme and maybe even win one of the prizes on offer.

In small groups, you will meet lots of people of your own age from many different countries. You will take part in joint creative activities, including theatre, dance, filmmaking and discussions, and you will be able to discover the Capital of Culture in a whole new way. You will be part of the festival, make lots of new friends, and above all, you will have lots of fun.

The best thing is that the programme is completely free. We will put together a complete programme for you, including accommodation, and will be there to assist and advise you and to listen to any suggestions you may have for the programme.

So does this all sound interesting? If you think it does, simply place an application for your project and indicate your wish to take part in the Workshop and Encounter Programme in the space provided at the very bottom of the application form. We will attempt to bring together participants from as many nations as possible. For this reason, we would ask all people applying as a group to try and cover as many areas of activity as possible. Or even better, if you are already in touch with young people in other countries, then why not apply together as a group with a joint project?
